Sir Arthur Currie arrived on August 31st 1919 for the first time after the war. Members of his family and the community greeted him when he got off the train. The band played "Home Sweet Home" Currie is quoted as saying "Your hearty reception touches me very much. I greatly appreciate the warmth of your welcome
