Extent of the heat-wave that blanketed town early this week manifested itself in the CNR rail road tracks as the well-above-90 degrees heat buckled many of the rails near the station and sent reapair crews to work shortening the rails to allow for heat expansion. Here a CNR crew are shown at work shortening one of the buckled rails.
